a. Key components of  Hip-Hop Revolution goal are the utilization of youth as resources in rebuilding their communities and strengthening families and communities in return. WMCDC will utilize the following strategies to achieve these results: (1) establish a Youth Services Coalition; (2) establish three Youth Empowerment Centers in underserved areas of Prince George’s County; (3) provide an array of youth development services including parenting and anger/stress management skills, leadership development, promoting healthy lifestyles (i.e. nutrition and fitness), mentoring, civic responsibility, reduce language barriers and promote across culture enrichment, business/entrepreneurial workshops, and job and career counseling to youth and their parents.

Target population: WMCDC shall provide youth development services to youth ages 8-18 years old residing in District 5/Prince Georges County.  Specifically, WMDC will target three areas in Prince George’s County, Maryland: Landover, and Capital Heights.  These areas coincide with zip codes 20743 (Seat Pleasant/Fairmount Heights), 20791(community areas of Prince George’s County most affected by poverty, homelessness, and youth violence.
